How does it work?
YEAR 1 YOUNG BIRD RACE
Participants can enter a team of 4 young birds for an initial cost of €250 – 1 Active and 3 Reserve Pigeons
Should the main pigeon be lost at any time then pigeon 2 will become the main pigeon (and so on)
Young birds will be trained to the south coast of England and will compete in a young bird final race from Eastbourmne
Distance will be approximately 150 Miles / 240km for the final race in year 1 (TBC) (RPRA Licence No.EM13)
The race will take place in last week of September
In the build up to the final race, participants can activate their remaining pigeons in their team to compete for prize money
Should participants not wish to activate their birds then these will be offered to the public to enter shortly before the race.
Prize Money will be determined by activated entries
With a minimum 500 Activated Pigeons
How does it work?
YEAR 2 YEARLING RACE
Pigeons that successfully complete year 1 will go on to compete in year 2 and pigeon 1 must be reactivated for €250
Should the main pigeon be lost at any time then pigeon 2 will become the main pigeon (and so on)
Yearling birds will be trained to the south coast of England and across the channel to Boves, France (220 miles) and will then compete in a yearling final race from Bourges, France
Distance will be approximately 450 Miles / 725km for the final race in year 2 (TBC)(RPRA Licence No.EM14)
The race will take place in the last week in May/first week in June
In the build up to the final race, participants can activate their remaining pigeons in their team to compete for prize money
Should participants not wish to activate their birds then these will be offered to the public to enter shortly before the race.
Prize Money for the Yearling Race will be determined by activated entries
With a minimum 500 Activated Pigeons
YEAR 3 THE BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL RACE!
How does it work?
Pigeons that successfully complete year 2 will go on to compete in year 3 and pigeon 1 must be reactivated for €250 to be eligible to compete for prize money
Should the main pigeon be lost at any time then pigeon 2 will become the main pigeon (and so on)
2 YEAR OLD birds will be trained to the south coast of England AND across the channel twice in preparation for the BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL RACE
Distance will be 795 MILES / 1279KM km (to be verified) for this grand final of the BARCELONA ONE LOFT RACE

In the build up to the final race, participants can activate their remaining pigeons in their team at €250 each to compete for prize money
Should participants not wish to activate their birds then these will be offered to the public to enter shortly before the race at €250 each
Prize Money for the BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL ONE LOFT RACE will be determined by the number of activated entries
